Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hiroshi Sato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hiroshi Sato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thiago Suzuki!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suzuki misses with an uppercut. Sato saw that one coming.
Suzuki just misses with a punch to the body.
Sato avoids the body shot from Suzuki.
A leg kick checked by Sato.
Sato lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Suzuki circles away quickly and effectively.
Sato stuns Suzuki with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
A head kick from Suzuki lands but Sato takes it in his stride.
Suzuki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sato was well out of range. Poor timing from Suzuki.
Sato misses with a straight left.
Suzuki swings for the body but Sato moves out of range.

Suzuki bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Suzuki throws an elbow but Sato slips to the side and avoids it well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sato takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Sato keeps Suzuki under control for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sato is pushing Suzuki's head away, looking to escape. Suzuki manages to hold on to the position though.

Suzuki is looking to take a break and control but Sato is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sato manages to reverse the position and now he's in Suzuki's guard. Nice work there by Sato.

Suzuki isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Sato stacks Suzuki on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Sato!
Sato tries to advance to mount but Suzuki denies him.
Suzuki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sato wants to lay and pray for a moment but Suzuki keeps working.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

A looping hook to the body misses from Sato. Suzuki does a little dance to reset his feet.

Sato lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sato.

Crunch! Suzuki slams his shin into Sato's torso.
Suzuki clobbers Sato with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Suzuki throws a head kick but Sato moves out of range.
Sato tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Suzuki ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sato moves away.

and Sato counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Sato looks to score with a jab to the body but Suzuki is just out of range.

Suzuki lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Hiroshi Sato is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Suzuki looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Suzuki throwing shots but Sato is blocking nicely.

and Sato makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

The fight stays on the outside here - Sato looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Sato tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Suzuki manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Sato is looking to wear down Suzuki with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hiroshi Sato will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Sato lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

It looks like Thiago Suzuki has been cut.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Suzuki.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Suzuki looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Suzuki's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sato connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Suzuki scrambles back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!

I think Sato has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
