Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Remy Dunga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Merlin Fox!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunga throws a looping overhand right but Fox ducks down to avoid it.
Fox uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dunga.
Fox slips a straight right by Dunga.
Fox throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Dunga makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Dunga throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fox stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fox keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Dunga.
Fox takes a swing at Dunga's ribcage but misses.
Fox steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dunga.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Fox throws a left and a right that both miss
and Dunga counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Dunga ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fox moves away.
Fox throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dunga.
Dunga misses with a wild combination.
Fox swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dunga throws a body punch but Fox moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fox lands with a cross.
Dunga connects with a body shot that sends Fox's belly button to the back.
Fox looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dunga misses with an uppercut.
Dunga throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fox on the side of the head.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Dunga fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Dunga! Fox is backing up but he can't get away as Dunga lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Fox and ends the fight. Great knockout.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Remy Dunga!
