Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Banana Split (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Thompkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Thompkins!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompkins stuffs the takedown.
Thompkins connects with a right hand. Split shakes it off.
Horrible takedown by Split or perhaps it was just good defense by Thompkins which made him look bad.
Thompkins throws a series of punches but Split avoids them all with ease.
Thompkins leaves Split with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Banana Split. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Split gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Thompkins.
Split looks to score with a jab to the body but Thompkins is just out of range.
Split dodges the punch combination from Thompkins.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Split circles away from the clinch attempt
and Split counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Thompkins is trying to stand back up but Split is controlling him
That's one minute gone in the round.
Split is trying for a kimura here. Thompkins looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Split wins by kimura!
