Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Saul Rubenstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mighty Mike!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Roberts and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Mike.
A bit of a lull in the action here.

Mike is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rubenstein knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Mike is trying to get an arm triangle but Rubenstein is defending well.

Mike goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Rubenstein has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Mike but great work by Rubenstein.

Mike should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mike is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Mike tries to escape but Rubenstein has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Rubenstein is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Mike has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Rubenstein controlling the positon.
Rubenstein is trying to stick to Mike's back but Mike is turning into Rubenstein. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Rubenstein's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Mike.
Rubenstein manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mike manages to get himself to full guard.

Rubenstein is looking to stand up but Mike won't let him.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rubenstein is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mike is just riding it out for now. Rubenstein eventually gives up the hold.
