Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Nick Cage has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nick Cage seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

10 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Nick Cage!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Scott!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage pivots, looking for a leg kick but Scott is out of range and Cage settles back down.
Cage uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Scott.
Cage tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Scott lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cage circles away quickly and effectively.
Cage uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Scott.
Scott misses the shot to the body.
Scott fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cage looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Cage bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Scott's head.
Scott swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Scott misses with an uppercut. Cage saw that one coming.
Scott takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Scott throws a poor cross that misses
and Cage counters with a takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Scott tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
The referee warns Scott that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Scott is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Scott takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Cage takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Cage lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Cage looking to finish Scott with some ground and pound. This is bad for Scott!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cage is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Scott to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Scott shrugs it off.
Scott is wriggling around trying to escape.
Scott is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cage with a couple of short strikes.
It looks like Michael Scott has been cut.
Cage connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Scott is rocked!
Cage looking to control but Scott is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Scott is still in real trouble! Can Cage finish him?
Scott is desperately trying to improve his position but Cage has a good base and remains in mount.
Scott seems to have recovered his senses.
BOOM! Cage connects with a massive shot to the dome!
That has opened up Michael Scott's cut even more.
A big strike lands for Cage! That's really hurt Scott and he's turned his back - Cage keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Cage jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nick Cage!
Nick Cage retains his middleweight title!
