Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owens shoots in looking for a takedown but Popinski manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Owens's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Popinski throws a leg kick but Owens sees it coming and moves out of range.

Owens thows a body shot but no joy.
Popinski throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Popinski throws a right and a left that both miss.
Owens bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Owens checks a low kick from Popinski.
Owens throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Popinski tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Owens is in Popinski's guard.
Popinski wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Owens is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Owens shoots in for a double leg but Popinski sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Owens counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Owens shoots in and bounces Popinski off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Popinski wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Owens tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Popinski is looking to regain half guard here but Owens keeps moving and retains side control.
Popinski tries to escape but Owens is in control.
Owens wants to lay and pray for a moment but Popinski keeps working.

Owens is looking to take a break and control but Popinski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Owens can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Popinski is looking to escape.

Owens wants to finish this one by submission but Popinski is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Owens.

Owens swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Popinski is now in Owens's guard. A big mistake from Owens there, giving up the dominant position!

Owens pushes a forearm under Popinski's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Popinski is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
