Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Sweeney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stewie Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ben Sweeney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Stewie Griffin! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sweeney moves out of range of the body kick. Sweeney tries for a takedown but Griffin circles away easily and Griffin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Griffin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sweeney manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Sweeney utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sweeney throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Griffin escapes and throws Sweeney's legs to the side, diving into side control! Griffin wants to stand but Sweeney is controlling his arm. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Sweeney's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Griffin tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Sweeney is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Sweeney can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sweeney is not content to let Griffin control the position. Griffin stands up. Sweeney shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Griffin moves into the clinch. Griffin utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Griffin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Griffin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Griffin lands in his opponent's guard. Sweeney not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sweeney is proving hard to escape from. Griffin looks gassed! Sweeney is trying to control the position but Griffin postures up. Griffin trying to control but Sweeney is working from the bottom. Sweeney working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Griffin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Sweeney is tightening it up a little... Griffin has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Griffin reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Griffin taps out! nice BJJ there by Sweeney!
