Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Valery Sutkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sutkin comes to the cage accompanied by 7000 над землёй. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Shields!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shields shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sutkin's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Shields decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Sutkin cracks Shields with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Shields tries to clinch but Sutkin is having none of it.
Sutkin bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Shields's head.
A left and a right from Sutkin both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Jake Shields has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sutkin lands a jab to the head.
Sutkin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Shields is rocked!
A head kick by Sutkin - that's a beauty! Shields is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Sutkin can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Valery Sutkin!
