The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bernardi throws a nice head kick!
Bernardi throws a left and a right that both miss
and Golovko counters with a series of strikes. Bernardi will be more careful next time no doubt.
Bernardi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Golovko sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Golovko shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Bernardi flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Bernardi moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bernardi has his foot on Golovko's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Golovko works his way back into a safe position though.
Golovko passes Bernardi's left leg - he's now in half guard.
