The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ratcliffe keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Mouth really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ratcliffe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ratcliffe had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mouth defends it easily.

Mouth drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mouth jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ratcliffe escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mouth gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ratcliffe makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ratcliffe.
Mouth stands and throws Ratcliffe's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Mouth seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ratcliffe does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Mouth is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Mouth counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ratcliffe won't be happy with that.

Mouth gets to mount! Ratcliffe was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Ratcliffe is bucking up trying to escape but Mouth cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mouth is landing with some decent strikes but Ratcliffe is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Ratcliffe is rocked!
Mouth postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Ratcliffe badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Mouth around the waist but Mouth pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Mouth is the winner by TKO! Mouth jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
