Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ridge Coldren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Miguel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miguel has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Ridge Coldren has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Coldren.
Miguel looks gassed!
Miguel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Coldren shoots for a double leg takedown but Miguel sprawls well. He's pushed Coldren's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Miguel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coldren. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Coldren will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Miguel should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Coldren closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Miguel's guard.

Miguel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Coldren misses with a few strikes there.
Coldren fails to land the takedown.
Coldren shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Miguel sprawls well. Miguel wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Coldren gets slowly back to his feet.

Miguel wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Coldren tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Miguel just stands there and leans against the cage.

Miguel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Coldren decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ridge Coldren just wasn't active enough.
Miguel throws a front kick aimed at Coldren's knee but Coldren avoids it well.
