Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sam Kildahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Gadget (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kildahl comes to the cage accompanied by dont get up. Sam Kildahl has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gadget throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Kildahl misses with a takedown attempt - Gadget sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kildahl throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gadget's waist but Gadget gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kildahl off to one side.
Gadget tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kildahl is able to avoid easily.
Kildahl misses with a takedown attempt - Gadget sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Kildahl. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kildahl shoots in but no luck this time.

Kildahl drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Kildahl is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Gadget looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Gadget wants to stand and escape but Kildahl is having none of it.
Gadget really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kildahl. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gadget is trying to control the position but Kildahl postures up.

Kildahl is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kildahl throwing strikes from guard but Gadget blocks nicely.
Kildahl sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gadget's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gadget is staying active underneath Kildahl, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Kildahl is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gadget doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kildahl.
Gadget is trying to get back to full guard.
Kildahl is keen to just control but Gadget is a slippery customer.

Kildahl passes into side control, despite Gadget's attempt to control the position.
You can see the frustration on Gadget's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Gadget is looking to regain half guard here but Kildahl keeps moving and retains side control.

Kildahl has an Americana. Gadget didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Kildahl is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Kildahl hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
