The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kline shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Staton connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kline shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kline will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Staton misses with a low kick.
Staton throws a jab when Kline was well out of range.
Kline misses with a takedown
and Staton counters with a straight right hand.
Jeremy Staton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Kline.
Kline ducks right into an uppercut from Staton.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kline tries for a takedown but Staton circles away easily
and Staton counters with a good low kick that Kline was not able to check.
Nick Kline seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kline takes one to the side of the head.
Kline checks the leg kick nicely there.

Kline shoots and misses
and Staton counters with a nice uppercut.
Staton bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Kline will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Staton throws out a loose jab but Kline uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kline shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Staton makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kline.
Staton lands a body shot.
Kline is trying desperately to land a takedown but Staton is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Kline.
Kline looks gassed!

and Staton counters with an outside leg kick.
Staton smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Staton buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Staton with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Staton moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Staton walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kline checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Kline needs to keep his hands up - Staton had a free shot at his head there.
Kline tries for a takedown but Staton circles away easily
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Jeremy Staton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Staton connects with a nice looking jab.
Staton cracks Kline with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Staton loads up on a big right hand but Kline slips the punch.
Nice body punch from Staton.

Kline takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Staton cracks Kline with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

and Staton counters with a left and a right that stings Kline.

Kline is rocked!
Staton fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Kline square on the jaw! Damn, Kline is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
