Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lawrence Fairchild (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fairchild comes to the cage accompanied by Fought the Law. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Fairchild throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Evans pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Fairchild back to the cage. Evans follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Fairchild throws a sloppy body shot
and Evans counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Fairchild rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Fairchild takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Evans scores with a jab to the head.
Evans scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Fairchild doesn't seem bothered though.
Evans scores with a jab. Fairchild acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Evans's corner calls for a 1-2. Evans obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Evans fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Fairchild on the side of the head.

Fairchild shoots and misses
and Evans counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Fairchild is breathing heavily.
Evans scores with the left hand. Fairchild knows he should have avoided that one.
Evans throws out a powerful jab.
Evans connects with a single shot there.
Evans lands a nice hook to Fairchild's body. Fairchild takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Evans lands a left and a right that send Fairchild crashing to the mat, dazed. Evans thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Fairchild is rocked!
Fairchild takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Evans is pawing at Fairchild, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Fairchild's nose. Fairchild is badly hurt! Evans pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Fairchild tries desperately to hold on but Evans is relentless in his assault! As Fairchild receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Evans away and this one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cody Evans!
