The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Perry passes Roberts's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Roberts is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Perry is trying to control the action in half guard but Roberts is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Roberts is looking to control Perry's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Roberts avoid being mounted?
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Perry connects with a nice short shot to Roberts's temple.

Roberts is looking for a sweep. Perry is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Perry is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
