The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willams takes the fight into the clinch.
Willams lands an uppercut.
Willams fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Nogueira tries to score a body lock takedown but Willams shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Nogueira blocks an elbow strike.
Willams misses with an elbow over the top.
Willams tries a knee to the head but Nogueira blocks it.
Willams lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Nogueira takes an elbow to the temple.
Nogueira has clasped his hands together around Willams's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Nogueira tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nogueira has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Nogueira is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Willams is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nogueira wants to control but Willams is keeping him busy.
Willams trying to remain calm as Nogueira controls from the top position.
Nogueira swings around for an armbar but Willams sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Nogueira's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Willams got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nogueira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Willams has managed to get both his arms back between Nogueira's legs - danger averted.
Willams wants to get up but he can't break Nogueira's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Nogueira is looking for a triangle but Willams pushes his legs off easily.
Willams stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Nogueira shoots for a double leg takedown but Willams sprawls well. He's pushed Nogueira's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nogueira keeps the fight on the outside.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Willams misses with a series of wild punches.
Nogueira closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Willams is refusing to be controlled, as Nogueira sits in half guard.
Willams keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Nogueira is looking for a kimura but Willams is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nogueira to get the leverage.
Nogueira has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Willams defend it? Nogueira steps over the head and cranks it - Willams is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Nogueira!
