The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Penn looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Dicks wants to improve his position but Penn is controlling well.
Penn is pressing down on Dicks's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dicks is holding on for now.
Penn works his way into side control.
Penn decides to stand up, so the ref orders Dicks to his feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dicks throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Penn's waist but Penn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dicks off to one side.
And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to DJ Penn.
Well Penn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
