Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dale Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Jameus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jameus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jameus closes the distance and clinches.
Peters jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jameus walks away with a smile on his face. Peters gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Jameus moves into the clinch.

Peters breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Peters shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Jameus counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Peters keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Jameus stalling away here and it's allowed Peters to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Jameus stands up from Peters's guard - Jameus perhaps looking for a knockout.
Jameus should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Jameus gets the takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jameus is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Peters's shoulder. That is not cool.
Jameus trying to control the position but Peters is working away.

Jameus is working Peters over with some ground and pound from side control.
Jameus working away.
Jameus working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Jameus wants to lay and pray for a moment but Peters keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jameus is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Peters knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Peters defending against the ground and pound.
Peters tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jameus wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Jameus is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Jameus tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Jameus wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Peters, who protects the arm well.
Peters is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jameus asserts his dominance and retains side control.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Jameus is trying to get an arm triangle but Peters is defending well.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jameus controls the position.

Jameus stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Dale Peters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peters swats away the attempt to clinch by Jameus.
Jameus moves in looking to clinch but Peters pushes him off.

That's time! Peters's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Jameus counters with a nice double leg into side control. Peters won't be happy with that.
Jameus tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Peters has one of Jameus's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

Peters is looking for a sweep. Jameus is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Still in half guard, Jameus seems content to control.
Peters scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Jameus manages to mount him!
Peters is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Jameus content just to control the position here.
Jameus throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Peters because Jameus loaded up on that one.
Jameus wants to control the pace but Peters is squirming around nicely.
Jameus throws some wild stikes that Peters manages to avoid easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jameus jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Peters is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Peters and Jameus has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Peters is not content to let Jameus control the position.
Peters is trying to control Jameus's posture but Jameus avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kevin Jameus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Peters lands with an overhand left.
Jameus keeps the fight on the outside.
Jameus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jameus.
Peters moves to clinch but Jameus breaks away

and Jameus counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Peters!
Peters is trying desperately to improve position.

Jameus stands up from mount. Strange move.

Jameus looking to score a takedown here. Peters is defending well but Jameus drives through and ends up in Peters's guard.

Jameus stands and steps away. Peters gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Jameus takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Peters throws a shot to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Peters closes the distance but Jameus moves to the side

and Jameus decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Peters's guard.

Jameus trying to control the position from guard on top but Peters is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jameus is fighting to break Peters's control of his arms but Peters is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Jameus trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Peters scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Peters shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Peters showed some decent athleticism there.

Peters stands up from half guard.

Peters closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jameus to the mat! Jameus manages to get full guard.
Peters loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jameus wants to sweep here but Peters controlling him for the moment.

Peters gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Peters darts in and clinches Jameus up against the cage.
Jameus looking to slow down the pace here.
Peters is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Jameus is keeping busy.

Peters pulls guard successfully.
Kevin Jameus has got the better of the ground game so far.

Jameus looking to sit in guard and control but Peters gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Jameus lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Peters!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Jameus goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Peters turns into him and now he's in Jameus's guard.
Peters has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jameus is proving hard to escape from.

Peters decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jameus, up you get!
Dale Peters has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Peters tries to clinch up.
Peters tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kevin Jameus is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Sloppy strikes from Peters. Those never looked like landing.

I would just about give that final round to Kevin Jameus.
