Fricke kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Drowning Pool - Bodies. Ryan Fricke has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fricke cracks Carwin with a good jab.

It looks like Shane Carwin has been cut.
Carwin is looking to clinch but Fricke is avoiding it.
Carwin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nice body kick there by Fricke.
Carwin dodges the punch combination from Fricke.
Carwin lands a nice looking body shot.
A combination from Fricke does no damage.

A slapping leg kick lands for Fricke.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fricke connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Fricke throws a nice looking combination but Carwin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Fricke looks to land a combination. Carwin sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Carwin looks gassed!
Carwin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fricke swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Fricke throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A slapping leg kick lands for Fricke.
Fricke thuds his shin into the meat of Carwin's side.
Fricke lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fricke scores with a kick to the body.
Fricke throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Carwin's head.
Fricke connects with a combination that backs up Carwin into the cage. Fricke lands a flurry of punches that gets past Carwin's guard. Carwin is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Fricke bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
