Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Wu-Tang Clan - Da Mystery of Chessboxin'. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia moves away from the strike by Jones.
Jones lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Maia fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jones misses with an uppercut.
Maia has his takedown stuffed
and Jones counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jones scores with a jab.
Maia on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Jones's jab looks to have found its range, popping Maia under the eye.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Maia slips a straight right by Jones.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Maia closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Maia pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Roscoe Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Maia.
Jones throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Maia looks gassed!
Jones lands a really nice looking cross but Maia seems unphased.
Jones scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Jones lands a nice hook to Maia's body. Maia takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Jones feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Maia's calf.

Maia takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Maia is rocked!
Chris Maia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maia is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Jones doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Maia crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Maia's bad books for that mishap!
