The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasheed shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
McLovin misses with the combination.
McLovin misses with a straight right.
A head kick misses from Rasheed.
McLovin misses with a series of wild punches.
McLovin pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Rasheed fakes a jab and throws a low kick but McLovin checks it well.
McLovin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rasheed takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Rasheed has managed to clinch.
Rasheed trying to stall but McLovin improves his position.

McLovin tries to free his leg and advance position but Rasheed is retaining full guard.
Rasheed looking to hit a scissor sweep but McLovin is one step ahead there.
McLovin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

McLovin is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

McLovin is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Rasheed has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Rasheed is looking to get to half guard.
Rasheed tries to lock up and control but McLovin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

McLovin wants to finish this one by submission but Rasheed is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from McLovin.
McLovin wants to take his opponent's back but Rasheed doesn't allow it.
