The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ma throws a hook but Purell blocks it.
Ma swings for the body but Purell moves out of range.
Ma just misses with a punch to the body.
Purell fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ma takes a swing at Purell's ribcage but misses.
Ma throws an off balance right hand
and Purell counters with a straight right hand.
Purell closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Purell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ma digs a good hook to Purell's body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Purell throws a right and a left that Ma avoids nicely.
Purell avoids the body shot from Ma.
Ma swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Purell looks to land a combination but Ma avoids it well.
Purell goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Purell lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Sougetsu Ma has been cut.
Ma thows a body shot but no joy.
Purell throws a one two combo.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ma looks to score with a jab to the body but Purell is just out of range.
Purell jabs Ma right on the nose. Ma blinks but takes it well.
Ma throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ma. Purell does a little dance to reset his feet.

Purell drops Ma with a beautiful combination! Ma stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Purell is looking for the KO!

Ma connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Purell's hands.
Ma drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Oh Ma is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ma seems to have got his legs back now.
Purell avoids the body shot from Ma.
Purell takes one on the button.
Ma misses with a lunging right hand
and Purell counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ma is breathing heavily.
Ma missing with a left hand there. Purell was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Purell uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ma.
Ma swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Purell's corner calls for a 1-2. Purell obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Ma takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Ma takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Purell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Purell lands a big right hook! Ma looks hurt but is still standing! Purell lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Ma falls down and Purell dives in with a huge hammer fist! Ma's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Purell runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
