Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Devlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henk De Vries (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Devlin's entrance music is sandstorm. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Vries looks for a takedown but Devlin sprawls well.
Devlin gets a takedown into half guard.
De Vries is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Devlin's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Devlin's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

You can see the frustration on Devlin's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
De Vries is trying to stick to Devlin's back but Devlin is turning into De Vries. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in De Vries's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Devlin.
De Vries is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Devlin rolls with it to try and escape but De Vries cranks on the arm and Devlin is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
