Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Veigar Barona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tessenji Fuuhaku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuuhaku throws a leg kick that is checked
and Barona counters with a straight right hand.
Barona misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Veigar Barona seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barona takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Barona pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Barona motions for Fuuhaku to come forward. Barona throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Barona on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Barona throws a nice looking combination but Fuuhaku bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Barona lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fuuhaku circles away quickly and effectively.

Barona throws a low kick but it's checked well by Fuuhaku.
Both fighters circling a little - Fuuhaku finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

and Fuuhaku counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fuuhaku pushes Barona against the cage. Fuuhaku is working some dirty boxing. Fuuhaku pushes off with a quick right hook! Barona goes down! Barona tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Fuuhaku moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tessenji Fuuhaku!
