The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevenson feints and as Malenko raises his hands in defense, Stevenson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Stevenson stopping the sweep attempt from Malenko.
Malenko trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Malenko is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Malenko wants to stand up but Stevenson is controlling him.
Stevenson trying to control the position from guard on top but Malenko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Stevenson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Malenko on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Malenko tries to get out of the position.
Malenko looking for a sweep. Not yet Malenko, not yet.
Malenko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stevenson on the ground.
Stevenson postures up in Malenko's guard and throws a big left but Malenko blocks it.
Malenko trying to keep a closed guard but Stevenson is proving a slippery customer.
Malenko keeping moving, preventing Stevenson from controlling successfully.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Stevenson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Malenko!

Stevenson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Stevenson prevents Malenko from getting the reversal.
Stevenson lands with some strikes.
Stevenson looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Malenko covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
