The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubio moves in looking to clinch but Jackson pushes him off.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Jackson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jackson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rubio looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rubio looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Jackson counters with a good low kick that Rubio was not able to check.
Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rubio circles away quickly and effectively.
Jackson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Jackson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rubio on the side of the head.

Jackson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jackson showed some decent athleticism there.
