Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sanji Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Canyon Mikel Scott King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by It's a fight!!!. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cook tries to clinch but King is having none of it.
King checks a leg kick nicely.
King avoids the body shot from Cook.
Cook tries to land a front kick but King steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Cook takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cook looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
King swats away the attempt to clinch by Cook.
Cook throws a leg kick but King checks it.
King on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cook. Cook obviously looking to wear him down.

King throws an overhand right that lands on Cook's shoulder, as Cook tries to avoid the shot.
Cook moves out of range as King strikes.
King tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cook sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten King somewhat.
Cook throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

King scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Cook throws a head kick but King moves out of range.
Cook slips under a jab from King.
King is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cook.
King avoids the head kick by Cook.
Cook takes a swing at King's ribcage but misses.
A shot to the body from Cook misses
and King counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A punch lands to the side of Cook 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Canyon Mikel Scott King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

King shoots in but no luck this time.

King feints and as Cook raises his hands in defense, King changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
King in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
King postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
King throws a strike but Cook rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Cook would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Cook trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
King is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Cook is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sanji Cook will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and King counters with a three punch combo that has Cook backing up. Cook nods at King to acknowledge the strikes.

King throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cook tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
King is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cook.

enabling King to counter with a crisp jab.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cook, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
