Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anupo Anubis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Tolbowl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tolbowl has chosen Do Da Stanky Leg as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anubis tries to clinch up.

Anubis tries to keep at a distance but Tolbowl has taken the fight into the clinch.

Tolbowl breaks from the clinch.
Tolbowl keeps the fight on the outside.
Anubis ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Tolbowl shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tolbowl lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Anupo Anubis has been cut.
Anubis shoots in for a takedown but Tolbowl shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Tolbowl stuffs the takedown attempt from Anubis. Anubis gets slowly back to his feet.
Tolbowl looks to throw the jab but Anubis is out of range.

Tolbowl looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Anubis is looking for a sweep. Tolbowl is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Tolbowl is looking to take a break and control but Anubis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Anubis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tolbowl gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tolbowl is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Tolbowl sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Anubis's guard.

Anubis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tolbowl's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tolbowl can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tolbowl is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Anubis has just dragged him back down to the mat.
A lull in the action here.
Anubis sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Tolbowl is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Anubis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tolbowl.
Tolbowl shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Anubis sprawls well. Anubis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tolbowl gets slowly back to his feet.

Anubis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anupo Anubis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tolbowl wants to slow Anubis down by chopping away at his legs.
Tolbowl throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Anubis's waist but Anubis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tolbowl off to one side.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Matt Tolbowl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tolbowl shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Anubis pinned against the cage. Anubis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Anubis tries to keep at a distance but Tolbowl has taken the fight into the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tolbowl goes for a takedown in the clinch but Anubis prevents it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tolbowl closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Tolbowl wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anubis keeps working.
Anubis is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Tolbowl's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
