Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rosco Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy misses with a takedown attempt
and Jones counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Boy thinking.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for Boy on that attempt.
Jones leaves Boy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rosco Boy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jones lunges at Boy with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Boy's hand.
Boy doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jones counters with a left and a right that stings Boy.

Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Boy, before circling back to the center of the mat.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Boy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jones, who protects the arm well.
Boy has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Jones!

Boy with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Boy wants to control the pace but Jones is squirming around nicely.
Jones is desperately trying to improve his position but Boy has a good base and remains in mount.
Boy looking to isolate an arm here. Jones doesn't see it coming and as Boy extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Boy!
