Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jose Lopez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jetset Niemi!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Sergei Dronov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Niemi pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Lopez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Niemi circles away.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Niemi.
Niemi clinches up with Lopez and pushes him back against the cage.
Niemi misses with a hook to the ribs.
Niemi throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Niemi swings wildly with an uppercut but Lopez uses good head movement to avoid it.
Niemi struggles to land a body shot inside as Lopez controls his hands.

Niemi scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Niemi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lopez. That did some damage!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lopez dives in and grabs Niemi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Niemi pushes down on Lopez's head and hops out.
Lopez ducks right into an uppercut from Niemi.
Niemi lands with a hook. Lopez tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Niemi feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lopezs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Niemi cracks the inside of Lopez's front leg.
Lopez is breathing heavily.
Lopez throws a hook to the side of Niemi's head but Niemi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lopez has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Lopez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Niemi works the jab nicely.
Niemi moves into range and connects with a jab.
Lopez gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Niemi.
Niemi throws a leg kick which misses Lopez's front leg but catches the back leg as Lopez tries to avoid it.
Jetset Niemi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Niemi lands a lovely overhand right.
Niemi scores with a nice head shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lopez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Niemi tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lopez is in Niemi's guard.

Niemi is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Niemi seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Lopez has gone for a leg lock! Niemi slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lopez's guard.
Niemi advances to half guard.
Niemi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lopez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Niemi.
Niemi is pressing down on Lopez's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lopez is holding on for now.
Niemi is controlling the pace.

Lopez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Lopez is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
A nice elbow there by Niemi.

Niemi trying to control but Lopez is having none of it.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Niemi cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Niemi pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Niemi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lopez is looking to escape.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Niemi lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Lopez hang on?
Lopez is rocked!
Lopez is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jetset Niemi dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Niemi digs a good hook to Lopez's body.
Niemi feints and then cracks Lopez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lopez down.
Lopez shoots in looking for a takedown. Niemi tries to sprawl out of it but Lopez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Niemi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lopez takes one to the chin there.
Niemi digs a good hook to Lopez's body.

Oh Lopez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lopez misses with a takedown
and Lopez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Niemi throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Lopez crashing down! Lopez tries to stagger back to his feet but Niemi just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Lopez asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jetset Niemi!
