Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Syete Gabilog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quizz Al Fazz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fazz connects with an inside leg kick.
A punch combination from Fazz misses.

Fazz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gabilog to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Gabilog stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fazz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gabilog throws a big right hand that misses.
Gabilog throws a strike but Fazz rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Fazz not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Fazz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gabilog swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gabilog on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gabilog tries to get out of the position.

Fazz is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Quizz Al Fazz was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Fazz thumps Gabilog with a low kick.
Fazz finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Fazz gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Gabilog fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Gabilog is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Fazz gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Gabilog drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Fazz is pressed up against the cage. Gabilog has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fazz down to the mat. Fazz avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A left lands for Fazz.

It looks like Syete Gabilog has been cut.
Fazz fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gabilog.
Gabilog has his takedown stuffed
and Fazz counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Fazz pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Quizz Al Fazz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Fazz throws a leg kick which misses Gabilog's front leg but catches the back leg as Gabilog tries to avoid it.
Fazz throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Gabilog's head.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Gabilog uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fazz.

Gabilog looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Gabilog drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Fazz defending against the ground and pound.
Fazz is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Gabilog is working for a kimura but Fazz is defending it quite comfortably.
Gabilog thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fazz's head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Gabilog is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Gabilogis looking to pass into half guard but Fazz pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Fazz is in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fazz in particular looking to stall.

Gabilog misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Syete Gabilog is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Fazz scores with a kick to the body.
Fazz lands with a kick to the temple. Gabilog shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Fazz cracks the inside of Gabilog's front leg.
Gabilog on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Fazz. Fazz obviously looking to wear him down.
Fazz throws a nice inside leg kick.
Gabilog shoots in looking for a takedown. Fazz tries to sprawl out of it but Gabilog keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fazz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Syete Gabilog's cut is getting worse.

Fazz lands a glancing blow to the side of Gabilog's head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gabilog takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Fazz throws a push kick but Gabilog slaps the foot to one side.
Gabilog shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fazz as he jumps to the side.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gabilog crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Fazz - the referee stops the clock and Gabilog gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Fazz. Gabilog manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Gabilog shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fazz sprawls well. Fazz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gabilog gets slowly back to his feet.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Fazz.

Fazz gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Gabilog has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fazz avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Fazz stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Gabilog drops down looking for an ankle pick but Fazz pulls his leg out and moves away.

Quizz Al Fazz is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Syete Gabilog's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fazz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gabilog swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Well Fazz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
