PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Boyko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lesnar is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyko looks to land a combination but Lesnar avoids it well.
Boyko should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Lesnar throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Boyko looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Boyko is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lesnar defends it well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Ivan Boyko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Boyko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lesnar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well Lesnar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
