Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Morales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skinny Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skinny Boy will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Morales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Skinny Boy!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morales lands a left and a right that send Boy crashing to the mat, dazed. Morales thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


It looks like Skinny Boy has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Morales is looking to land body kicks.
Morales will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Boy tries for a takedown but Morales circles away easily

and Morales counters with a single leg into guard. Boy didn't expect that.


Boy is rocked!

Boy working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Morales has passed into half guard!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Morales stands up and beckons Boy to join him on the feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Morales breaks from the clinch.
Morales fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Boy doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Morales counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Morales stands and steps away. Boy gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Morales counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Boy!
Carlos Morales has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Skinny Boy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Carlos Morales.

Morales seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Boy for as long as he can get away with.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Morales takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Boy doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Morales counters with a left to the body.
Morales looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Morales swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Morales counters with a crisp one two that drops Boy! Morales thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Boy to his feet! Boy is in big trouble!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Morales counters by moving into the clinch.
Morales lands a hook to the side of the head.

Morales breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Morales shoots in and bounces Boy off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Morales postures up.
Morales trying to control the position from guard on top but Boy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Boy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

We're going to have a standup here because Carlos Morales wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Morales throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Boy gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Morales counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Morales shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Boy napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Morales decides to stand up, so the ref orders Boy to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Morales counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Morales lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Boy circles away quickly and effectively.
Morales comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Morales closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Boy quickly recovers to half guard.
Boy tries to get to full guard but Morales has control of the leg.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Boy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Morales is working away from the top position though.

Morales throws a series of strikes that have Boy backpedaling.
Morales throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Morales stalks Boy and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Boy's face. Boy staggers backwards, shaken.

Morales might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Morales fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Morales.
Morales lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Boy circles away quickly and effectively.

Morales feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Carlos Morales overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Boy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Morales doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Morales manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Morales has one foot on Boy's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Morales dives in and scores a takedown into Boy's guard.

Morales got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Morales has managed to get both his arms back between Boy's legs - danger averted.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Boy is looking for a triangle here but Morales uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
