PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eric Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Cavero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castle comes to the cage accompanied by Demon Hunter - Storm The Gates Of Hell. Juan Cavero will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Cavero!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cavero really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Castle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Juan Cavero showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Castle swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cavero lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Cavero looks to land a left hand but Castle moved out of range nicely.

Cavero working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Castle doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Castle manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Castle engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Castle seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cavero for as long as he can get away with.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Castle closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Castle tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Castle cracks Cavero with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

It looks like Juan Cavero has been cut.
Cavero takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Eric Castle showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Cavero has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
