The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beefcake cracks Durrant with a right hand to the side of the head.
Beefcake throws an off balance right hand

and Durrant counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Durrant is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Durrant wants to work for an arm triangle but Beefcake is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Beefcake is looking for a sweep. Durrant is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Durrant trying to pass the guard but Beefcake defending well.

Durrant is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Beefcake has managed to free his arm - good work.

Beefcake holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Durrant looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Beefcake is defending against the submission attempts here by Durrant.
Beefcake is trying to control but can't.
Durrant missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Durrant wants to stand up but Beefcake is controlling the position.

Durrant is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Beefcake sees it coming and defends easily.

Durrant seems to be working for a kimura but Beefcake defends the submission attempt.
Durrant tries to pass the half guard into mount. Beefcake knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Beefcake manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Beefcake smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Durrant.
Beefcake scores with a jab to the jaw.
Durrant drops his hands momentarily and Beefcake takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.


Durrant is rocked!
Beefcake misses with a shot to the body
and Durrant counters with a stiff right hand.
Durrant is still on wobbly legs! Can Beefcake finish him?
Beefcake throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Durrant stumbling backwards into the cage! Durrant bounces back off the cage towards Beefcake, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Beefcake lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Beefcake celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Borris Beefcake!
