Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Karol Rucinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randoff Back (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rucinski comes into the arena with Lil Wayne - Drop The World ft. Eminem blaring out of the sound system. Back is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I am the Greatest!. Randoff Back will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karol Rucinski!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randoff Back!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Back stuffs the takedown attempt from Rucinski. Rucinski gets slowly back to his feet.

Rucinski ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Back moves away.

Rucinski shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Rucinski is looking to advance position but Back won't allow it.
Rucinski is trying to control the action in half guard but Back is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Rucinski wants to take a breather but Back is having none of it.
Back wants to get back to his feet.

Rucinski decides to stand up, so the ref orders Back to his feet.

and Back counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Back looks to land a left hand but Rucinski moved out of range nicely.
Rucinski tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Back swivels and escapes.
Back scores with a decent looking hook.
Rucinski throws a lazy right hand but Back sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Back scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Karol Rucinski has been cut.
Randoff Back seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Back jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Rucinski tries for a takedown but Back sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Back dips to his left and cracks Rucinski with an uppercut!

Rucinski moves out of range of the strikes.
Rucinski misses with an uppercut. Back saw that one coming.
Back misses with a lunging right hand

and Rucinski counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Back's guard now.
Rucinski tries to free his leg and advance position but Back is retaining full guard.
Back keeping moving, preventing Rucinski from controlling successfully.
Rucinski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Back is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Back is looking to stand up but Rucinski isn't so interested in that idea.
Rucinskiis looking to pass into half guard but Back pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Back is in guard.
Back has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rucinski is proving hard to escape from.

Rucinski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Back gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Back postures up.
Back trying to stand up but can't free himself from Rucinski's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rucinski looking for a guillotine here but Back defends easily.
Rucinski looking to hit a scissor sweep but Back is one step ahead there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Karol Rucinski will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Back really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rucinski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rucinski wants to sweep here but Back controlling him for the moment.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Rucinski here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Rucinski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Back manages to get himself to full guard.

Back is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Rucinski is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Back can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Rucinski is looking to work his way around to Back's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Rucinski wants to control the pace but Back is squirming around nicely.
Back wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Rucinski has hold of Back's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Back manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Rucinski is looking to work his way around to Back's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Rucinski jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Back is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Back and Rucinski has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Back dodges the ground and pound from Rucinski.
Back tries to escape but Rucinski is in control.
Karol Rucinski overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Rucinski throws an elbow but Back slips to the side and avoids it well.

Rucinski is looking to take a break and control but Back is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Back wants to get back to his feet but Rucinski drags him back down.

Rucinski thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Back is not content to let Rucinski control the position.
Rucinski staying calm.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Back swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Back misses with the combination.
Back connects with a crisp jab.
Rucinski takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Rucinski takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Rucinski smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

The fighters circle momentarily. Back darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Back keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Back keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Back throws a shot from downtown. Rucinski moves away and avoids it.
Back uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rucinski.
Back lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Back throws out a loose jab but Rucinski uses good head movement to avoid it.
Back moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Rucinski shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Back defends it nicely.

Oh Rucinski is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rucinski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Back but Back pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rucinski misses with a wild body shot.
Back wobbles Rucinski with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Back dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Rucinski to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
