PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tobirama Katsushiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tokio Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gomi goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Katsushiro has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gomi but great work by Katsushiro.

Gomi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Katsushiro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gomi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Gomi is working for takedown but Katsushiro is calmly controlling the position for now.

Gomi manages to break the clinch.
Gomi avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gomi slips a jab and a cross from Katsushiro.
A combination from Gomi does no damage.
Gomi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Katsushiro tries to avoid it but Gomi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Katsushiro to the ground. Katsushiro escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Katsushiro's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Gomi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tobirama Katsushiro will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
