Childs comes to the cage accompanied by Bat out of hell. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kangaroo Jack!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jack closes the distance but Childs moves to the side
and Childs counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jack's knee momentarily.
Jack tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Childs counters with a leg kick.
Childs throws a nice head kick!


It looks like Kangaroo Jack has been cut.
Jack moves to clinch but Childs breaks away
and Childs counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jack is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Childs plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Kangaroo Jack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jack closes the distance but Childs moves to the side
and Childs counters with a leg kick.
Childs throws a nice inside leg kick.
Jack wants to clinch
and Childs counters with a leg kick.
Jack darts in trying to clinch
and Childs finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

and Childs counters with a nice body kick.

Jack tries to clinch but Childs moves away
and Childs counters with a good, hard body kick but Jack shrugs it off.
Childs tries a head kick but it misses.
Jack avoids the head kick by Childs.
Jack tries to clinch but Childs moves away
and Childs counters with a solid body kick.
Jack closes the distance looking to clinch
and Childs counters with a flying knee. Nice.
A slapping leg kick lands for Childs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jack takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Jack tries to clinch up
and Childs makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Jack wants to clinch but Childs slips to the side
and Childs counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Childs scores with a leg kick.

and Jack takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Childs connects with a leg kick. Jack looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Childs circles away from the clinch attempt
and Childs counters with a low kick, right behind Jack 's knee.
Jack looks gassed!
Jack tries to clinch up
and Childs counters with a head kick that wobbles Jack - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Childs sends him down. This one is all over!
