Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aiden Drogba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shooter McGavin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drogba's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Metallica - Whiskey In The Jar. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

and Drogba counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Drogba.

McGavin is fighting off a takedown attempt but Drogba is just too persistent for him and manages to trip McGavin to the mat. McGavin regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Drogba fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McGavin, pushing him back against the cage.
Drogba's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Drogba postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. McGavin looks a forlorn figure.

Drogba remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Drogba's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
