Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Riley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Storman Norman!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norman throws a right hand that Riley ducks under and follows up with a left that Riley also avoids with ease.
Riley shoots in but no luck this time.

Riley tries to sprawl but Norman drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Riley is refusing to be controlled, as Norman sits in half guard.
Norman looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Norman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Norman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Riley's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Norman stops Riley from getting back to his feet.

Norman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Riley is just riding it out for now. Norman eventually gives up the hold.

Norman thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Riley to regain full guard.

Norman passes Riley's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's time! Riley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


No luck with that takedown attempt from Riley.
Riley misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nice sprawl there from Riley as Norman shoots in.
Norman throws the left hand but Riley avoids the punch easily.
Riley shoots for a double leg takedown but Norman sprawls well. He's pushed Riley's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Riley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck for Norman with that takedown attempt.
Riley closes the distance and clinches up with Norman, looking for a takedown. Riley pushes Norman against the cage but Norman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

James Riley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Norman throws a right hand that Riley ducks under and follows up with a left that Riley also avoids with ease.
Norman tries to bum rush Riley with a series of wild strikes but Riley uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Riley feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Norman is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Riley throws and elbow that misses. Norman uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Riley's guard. Nice move by Norman!

Norman looking to sit in guard and control but Riley gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Norman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Norman throwing shots but Riley is blocking nicely.

Norman is trying to control the action in half guard but Riley is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Norman wants to pass to mount but Riley is defending the position.

Norman looks to land a strike but Riley avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Norman is pushing down on Riley's leg trying to pass to half guard. Riley is fighting to maintain full guard but Norman has managed to sneak the leg through.

Norman is looking to work some ground and pound but Riley has wrist control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Storman Norman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Riley looks for a takedown but Norman sprawls well.

Norman postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Norman is trying to ground and pound but Riley uses the momentary lack of control by Norman to regain half guard.
Norman wants to control but Riley is keeping him busy.

Let's hope that Norman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Storman Norman has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Norman throws a series of punches but Riley avoids them all with ease.
Norman missing with a left hand there. Riley was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Riley keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Norman.
Norman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Riley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Norman sprawls well. Norman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Riley gets slowly back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Norman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Norman throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Riley because Norman loaded up on that one.

Riley is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Storman Norman is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Norman unloads with some shots from mount but Riley bucks and avoids them well.

Storman Norman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Norman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
