Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Schreurs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinji Aoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinji Aoshi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinji Aoshi!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schreurs takes a kick to the side of the head.
Aoshi moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Aoshi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Schreurs.
Schreurs avoids the head kick by Aoshi.
Schreurs tries to clinch but Aoshi moves out of range.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Aoshi lands a high kick!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Schreurs steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Aoshi. That one must have hurt.
Aoshi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Schreurs fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Aoshi avoids it really well and circles away.
Aoshi's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Aoshi duly obliges.
Schreurs is breathing heavily.
Aoshi moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Aoshi tries to clinch up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Aoshi goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Schreurs closes the distance and clinches up with Aoshi, looking for a takedown. Schreurs pushes Aoshi against the ropes but Aoshi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Schreurs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Aoshi lands a big head kick that sends Schreurs to the canvas! Aoshi follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
