The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage works the jab nicely.

It looks like Dave Brent has been cut.
Brent is looking to clinch.
Brent cracks Savage with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Brent stuffs the takedown attempt from Savage. Savage gets slowly back to his feet.
Brent doesn't manage to clinch there - Savage circles away.
Brent ducks under a wild hook from Savage.
Savage pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Savage scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Brent shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Brent tries a head kick but it misses.
Brent wants to clinch.
Brent changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Savage tries to avoid it but Brent manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Savage to the ground. Savage escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Savage avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Savage thuds his right hand into Brent's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Savage checks a leg kick.
Savage throws a big shot that misses.
Savage works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
A slow jab from Brent misses its intended target.
Dave Brent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brent thows a left - swing and a miss!
Brent throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Brent tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Savage was well out of range. Poor timing from Brent.
Good work by Savage as he checks the leg kick.
Savage throws a shot to the body.
Brent looks to land a combination but Savage avoids it well.
Savage checks a low kick from Brent.
Savage connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Savage keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Savage shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Brent sprawls well. Brent wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Savage gets slowly back to his feet.
Savage looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Brent steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Savage.
Brent misses with a two punch combination.
The fighters circling - Brent throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Savage fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Savage keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Brent tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Savage lands a slapping body shot.
Brent looks gassed!

Savage throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Savage getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Brent walks into a jab.
Brent jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Brent ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Savage moves away.
Savage throws the left hand but Brent avoids the punch easily.

Savage drops Brent with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Brent looks back up at him and smiles so Savage waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Brent is rocked!

That has opened up Dave Brent's cut even more.
Savage fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Brent square on the jaw! Damn, Brent is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
