The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dibbiani closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Killa to the mat! Killa manages to get full guard.
Dibbiani prevents Killa from getting back to his feet.
Dibbiani loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Dibbiani wants to pass the guard but Killa is keeping the position.
Dibbiani forces his way into half guard.
Dibbiani looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Killa with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Killa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dibbiani. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

We're going to have a standup here because Joey Dibbiani wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Killa with a lazy takedown attempt

and Dibbiani counters with a shoot takedown. Killa fights it but they end up in guard.

Dibbiani has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dibbiani keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Killa's head.

Killa has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Dibbiani has passed into side control.
Killa looks gassed!

Dibbiani stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Killa swats away the attempt to clinch by Dibbiani.

Killa feints and as Dibbiani raises his hands in defense, Killa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dibbiani pulls Killa in close to prevent any damage.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Dibbiani's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
