Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Galron Taggart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Oven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Galron Taggart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, George Oven!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Oven. Taggart does a little dance to reset his feet.

Taggart gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Oven to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Taggart is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Taggart preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Taggart is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Oven stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Taggart swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Taggart tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oven passes into half guard.
Taggart manages to get to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Oven stands up over Taggart, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Oven tries to free his leg and advance position but Taggart is retaining full guard.
Oven won't allow Taggart to get back to his feet.
Taggart looking for a sweep. Not yet Taggart, not yet.
Taggart striking off his back but it's not causing Oven any problems.
Taggart tries to strike from the bottom.
Taggart wants to stand and escape but Oven is having none of it.
Oven postures up in Taggart's guard and throws a big left but Taggart blocks it.
Oven looking to sit in guard and control but Taggart gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Taggart wants to control from the top but Oven keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Taggart trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Oven manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Oven throws a big right hand that misses.
Taggart keeping moving, preventing Oven from controlling successfully.
Taggart is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Oven trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Oven must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Oven passes Taggart's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Oven working the head and body with strikes.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Oven lands a nice short elbow.
Oven throwing shots but Taggart is blocking nicely.
Taggart is refusing to be controlled, as Oven sits in half guard.
Oven wants to pass the guard but Taggart is defending well.
Oven scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Taggart is looking to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Oven thows a huge punch but Taggart dodges it nicely.
Taggart blocking the ground and pound attempt from Oven.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Taggart wants to control but Oven is keeping busy.
Oven takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Oven throwing shots but Taggart is blocking nicely.
Oven wants to pass the guard but Taggart is defending well.
Taggart trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Oven manages to pass to mount!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Taggart bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Oven dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Oven keeps the fight on the outside.
Taggart shoots in looking for a takedown but Oven manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Taggart's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Oven cracks Taggart with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.


Taggart is rocked!
Taggart has his takedown stuffed
and Oven counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). George Oven!
