Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Damien Thorne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergio Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Thorne might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Carmina Burana - O Fortuna. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Thorne.
Torres on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Thorne shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Thorne showed some decent athleticism there.
Thorne looks to land a strike but Torres avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Thorne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Torres swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Thorneis looking to pass into half guard but Torres pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Torres is in guard.

Thorne is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Torres defends well.

Thorne escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Torres gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Thorne working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Torres doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Torres manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Torres is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Thorne is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Torres defends well.

Sergio Torres is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Thorne fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Torres manages to avoid it.
Torres throws a body punch but Thorne moves out of range.
Thorne connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

and Torres counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A slapping body kick lands there for Torres.
Torres thows a body shot but no joy.
Thorne throws a jab but it's blocked by Torres.
A low kick from Thorne is predictable there
and Torres counters with a head kick. That will keep Thorne thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Thorne tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Torres was well out of range. Poor timing from Thorne.
Thorne throws a shot from downtown. Torres moves away and avoids it.
Torres fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Thorne has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Torres ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Thorne cracks a nice hook into Torres's ribs.

Thorne decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Torres makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Torres.

That was a close second round but I would say that Damien Thorne will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Thorne misses with a takedown attempt - Torres sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Thorne darts in and clinches Torres up against the cage.
Thorne drops down looking for an ankle pick but Torres pulls his leg out and moves away.
Thorne gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

and Torres counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Thorne will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Damien Thorne. That's going to take a lot out of him.
