The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rands fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Papiyap to the ground. Rands is now in Papiyap's guard.

Papiyap has an active guard here but Rands has managed to pass into half guard.

Papiyap is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rands pulls his head out easily.
Papiyap gets full guard.

Papiyap had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rands defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rands is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Papiyap has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Rands is looking to defend but Papiyap has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Rands! Papiyap pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Rands taps out and this one is all over!
