Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between God Save the Queen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ninja Assassin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Assassin has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Queen blocks a jab.
Queen swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Assassin counters with a stiff right hand.
Queen tests Assassin's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Queen ducks under a wild hook from Assassin.
Queen throws a right and a left that Assassin avoids nicely.
Assassin throws out a loose jab but Queen uses good head movement to avoid it.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Assassin.
Queen is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.

Assassin tries to score with some ground and pound. Queen controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Queen pulls Assassin in to control the position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Assassin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

God Save the Queen has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Assassin has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Queen.

Assassin tries to move into range but Queen moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Queen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Queen looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Assassin misses with a left hand
and Queen counters with a nice leg kick.

and Queen counters with a slapping leg kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Queen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Queen throws a hook but Assassin avoids it easily.
Queen stuffs the takedown attempt from Assassin. Assassin gets slowly back to his feet.
Queen throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Queen is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Assassin is breathing heavily.
Assassin walks into a jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Assassin throws a lazy uppercut
and Queen counters with an outside leg kick.
God Save the Queen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Queen throws a series of punches but Assassin avoids them all with ease.
Queen throws a right hand that Assassin ducks under and follows up with a left that Assassin also avoids with ease.
Assassin swings widly with a right hand
and Queen comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Assassin stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Queen is on him like rabid pit bull! Assassin slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!
