The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hegarty misses with a hook. Johnson ducked under it nicely.
Cripy Hegarty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson shoots and misses

and Hegarty counters with a nice double leg into side control. Johnson won't be happy with that.
Johnson tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Johnson tries to hold on but Hegarty postures up.

Hegarty is working for a guillotine from mount but Johnson frees his head quite easily.
Hegarty knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground.
You get the feeling that Johnson really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Hegarty is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Johnson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Johnson!
Hegarty wants to hit a switch here but Johnson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Hegarty there!

Johnson looking to isolate an arm here. Hegarty doesn't see it coming and as Johnson extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Johnson!
