The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Enzo pushes Northrup up against the cage in a clinch.
Enzo gets underhooks to prevent Northrup's takedown attempt.

Enzo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Northrup shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Enzo but Enzo pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Northrup shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Enzo is trying to defend but Northrup finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Northrup slips a nice elbow through Enzo's hands, connecting with Enzo's forehead.

Northrup throws a strike aimed at the side of Enzo's head but Enzo avoids it well.

That's time! Northrup's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Northrup fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Northrup motions for Enzo to come forward. Northrup throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Northrup tries to score a power double leg takedown but Enzo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Northrup somewhat.

and Enzo makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Northrup throws a right hand that Enzo ducks under and follows up with a left that Enzo also avoids with ease.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Ditte Enzo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Enzo stuffs the takedown attempt from Northrup. Northrup gets slowly back to his feet.

A looping hook to the body misses from Enzo. Northrup does a little dance to reset his feet.
Enzo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Northrup throws a series of punches but Enzo moves out of range.
Northrup closes this distance looking for a takedown but Enzo circles away.
Enzo looks to land a combination. Northrup sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Barney Northrup has been cut.

Northrup shoots in and gets a takedown into Enzo's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Enzo lands a head kick. Northrup smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Enzo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Northrup is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Enzo, into his guard.
Enzo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Northrup wants to control from the top but Enzo keeps moving.

Enzo has momentary wrist control but Northrup slips an elbow through the middle.
