The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitch throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Fitch scores a takedown into full mount!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Torres wants to get back to his feet.

Fitch looking to secure an arm triangle but Torres defends it well.

Torres somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Fitch tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Torres tries to clinch up but Fitch circles away and keeps his distance.
Fitch doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Fitch takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Fitch misses with a right hand
and Torres counters with a three punch combo that has Fitch backing up. Fitch nods at Torres to acknowledge the strikes.

Fitch throws an off balance right hand
and Torres counters with a stiff right hand.
Fitch looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Torres is fending him off so far but Fitch persists. Nope, Torres circles away and we're back to standing.
Fitch throws a head kick but Torres moves out of range.

Torres throws a one two combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Torres throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Torres is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Fitch wants to clinch up but Torres keeps it at a distance.

and Torres counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
John Fitch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Torres connects with a nice looking jab.
Torres circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Fitch drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Torres follows Fitch to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
